About Me
About Me
My name is Cornelius Shea, I am an aspiring computer science specialist with nearly 4 years of experience. I have a deep passion for coding, which started in my freshman year of high school. I have studied many different coding languages and pieces of software over my years at Old Colony.
During my time at Old Colony, I have studied many different aspects of computer science on top of my normal high school academics. This includes web development, game design, algorithmic coding, and so on. I have also taken on many different challenges like taking multiple AP courses and joining the National Honors Society. Some of my favorite classes that I have taken include Math and Cybersecurity. I enjoyed these classes because of how they challenged me and had me think. These challenges have created many opportunities and strengthened skills of mine.
Looking ahead, my goal is to enroll in college to obtain a degree within the computer science field. One of the professions I have been interested in for a while now is Cybersecurity. Cybersecurity, since my freshman year of high school, has always been interesting to me, so to be able to go into it for college and possibly as a future career would be great. I do not have any specific companies in mind when it comes to future careers, but places like banks I can see myself working for.
Outside of school and work I enjoy playing video games, exercise, and just hanging out with my friends. Sometimes in my free time I do enjoy not just playing games but also trying to make them. Before gaining much experience with software like Unity, I utilized software that was out there that lessened the amount of coding experience needed to get things done. In general I just enjoy spending time with my friends, whether online or in person.
In conclusion, over the past four years, I have strengthened my skills both personally as well as within the Computer Science Shop. These skills will allow me to further my education and work in the field after graduation.
